Renault India has expanded the Kiger range with the introduction of four new naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol variants. The update aims to make turbo performance and premium features more accessible to customers. With a revised range, the Renault Kiger Turbo is now priced at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable turbocharged sub-compact SUV. Renault has also introduced a new Evolution+ variant, available with both naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines, with prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested buyers can book the updated Kiger online or by visiting the nearest Renault showroom. Deliveries are expected to begin soon.
Sitting just above the base trim, the Evolution variant comes equipped with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights, an 8-inch infotainment system that supports wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering wheel audio controls, rear AC vents, cloth seat covers, electrically adjustable ORVMs and a rear parking camera. The Evolution+ trim brings several features such as Smart Access Card with push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone replication, driver’s seat height adjustment, and light embossed fabric upholstery.
Several features offered on the Evolution variant have been carried over from the higher-spec Techno trim. The Techno variant additionally adds LED headlights and 16-inch Flex wheels. At the top of the range, the Emotion variant exclusively offers features such as ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, diamond-cut alloy wheels and drive mode selection.As part of the update, Renault has expanded the Kiger Turbo portfolio from three to five variants. The Techno trim is now available with a turbo-petrol engine and 5-speed manual transmission, offering buyers another performance-focused option in the range. The naturally aspirated Kiger range has also been expanded from six to eight variants, giving customers a wider choice of features and prices.The Renault Kiger continues to be offered with two engine options – a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 72 PS, 96 Nm and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque. The turbo engine is available with manual, CVT and now with a wider range of options. The NA engine is offered with a 5-speed MT or AMT transmission.
