Clara and the Sun star Amy Adams has been through a lot in her life. This also includes life-or-death situations that require her to think quickly and even save someone’s life. In a recent podcast, the actress recalled what it was like to help the man and how daunting the experience was for her.
Amy Adams recalls saving stranger’s life
While talking about her life and career on the “Smartless” podcast, the actress revealed that she once saved a man’s life. She revealed that she would be very focused if there was an emergency around her. When Will Arnett asked her to elaborate, she revealed that she once saved someone’s life.“I’ve been in a few scenarios where we were the first people on the scene,” she commented, further sharing that one time she was with her father, husband and daughter in Santa Monica when she heard people yelling “he’s dying” while her husband yelled that he saw blood. Adams revealed she took immediate action and told her husband to stay with their daughter before running to the man’s aid.She added, “He was stabbed in the neck and bleeding, and his friends were freaking out. Luckily, we were going to the beach; we grabbed towels — and my dad was in a lot of the scenes.” [and] I think he attracted them as well – and applied pressure. I sat there and somehow said, ‘You need to calm your pulse rate. Take a deep breath. I’m really focused. I was like, ‘The more you fight, the faster it’s going to bleed. Just lie down. Let’s elevate this. “She then even revealed that the man survived and she met him nearly a year after the incident. She burst into tears as she recalled how the man took his son, talked to her and thanked her for saving him.In the episode, showrunner Sean Hayes also recalled being in a similar situation after filming an episode of Will & Grace, where he had to save a man who had been shot.
