Renault India today announced that it has commenced exports of the Indian Renault Duster SUV, with the first shipment of 750 units leaving Chennai for South Africa. The company said the delivery marks the start of its export program for the new generation Duster, with plans to expand exports to additional international markets in the coming months. The milestone also underscores India’s growing importance in Renault Group’s global manufacturing and export operations.The new Renault Duster is offered in five variants – authentic, evolution, techno, techno plus and iconic, with prices ranging from Rs 10.29 lakh to Rs 18.09 lakh (both ex-showroom prices). The starting price of Rs 10.29 lakh was applicable for buyers who pre-booked their cars till March 2026; after that, the standard price now starts at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Duster is offered with three engine options – a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 100PS of power and 160Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The second engine is a 1.3-liter, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol with 163 hp of power and 280 nm of torque mated to a 6-speed DCT or 6-speed manual. There’s also a larger 1.8-litre powerful 109bhp hybrid petrol engine paired with a 49bhp electric motor and 20bhp Hybrid Starter Generator (HSG), paired with a 1.4kWh (280V) battery. Together, this configuration delivers a combined system output of 160 PS and 172 Nm.On the design front, Renault has introduced India-specific design changes to the new-generation Duster, while retaining the overall silhouette of the third-generation global model. The SUV in India gets redesigned headlights with eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights that also function as turn signals. It has a revised grille with prominent Duster badging, replacing the Renault logo, along with a front bumper that uses a raised silver bezel and pixel-style fog lights.On the sides, the Duster sports black cladding over the wheel arches and underbody, C-pillar-mounted rear door handles and functional roof rails. At the rear, the triangular taillights are connected by an LED light bar not seen on the global version. Additional changes include a roof spoiler, a textured number plate casing and a black rear bumper with a silver insert.Coming to the interior, the interior of the Duster has been extensively redesigned for the Indian market. The India version features an all-new dashboard design with a dual-screen layout, soft-touch surfaces and revised trim elements. The cabin uses silver accents and contrasting green stitching, a special button panel on the center console, a slide-adjustable front armrest with storage, and more. Features include 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, power tailgate, 6-way power and ventilated front seats, 48-color, push-button start and multi-button start and multi-button entry.
