Looking back on the current landscape of the entertainment industry, Chopra gushed: “What a great time to be an artist and to be in the entertainment industry because creativity is your currency.“

Talking about how the film industry has changed over the years, she told Variety, “I feel like if you have an idea, film it and put it on YouTube, it could become the movie that just came out, Obsession.” She further explained, “When I first started, this used to be a niche industry. If you want to get into filmmaking, you have to figure out which sector you want to go into. “

The actress, who most recently starred in streaming hits Castle and Heads of State, also spoke about her desire to expand her English career and explore a wider range of roles and greater talent. Comparing her work in the two industries, she said: “In my Hindi career, I worked with all the best filmmakers and the best actors, and I told amazing stories and made all kinds of work. Whereas in America, in Hollywood, in my English work, I didn’t really get to do that.“Looking ahead, Chopra shares her thoughts on reinventing herself. Her “next reinvention,” she said, was “figuring out how to bring “the kind of diversity that I was able to do in India” to my character in (her) English-language work.

The actress also shared that her decision to launch a production company in the United States was driven by a desire to support emerging storytellers. “I started my production company to support new filmmakers, or filmmakers who have great ideas but don’t have the ability to open the doors that I might be able to open,” she said.
