I have always tried to do films that do not keep my image static. I want the audience to see different versions of me. I deliberately choose films that break my established image and leave the audience surprised and even confused. Like I did Anandi Gopal, Shanti Kranti and their completely different aspects. The audience has been supportive of my work and looks forward to seeing me in different roles. So, I accepted the challenge because I knew the audience would accept it too. “When asked if it was difficult to play Lalit, the most hated man in India. He admits and explains: “It was a challenge, a very difficult role for various reasons. First of all, I had to understand Kasab’s psychology in order to become him on screen and act accordingly. I had to catch the nuances of his language, which is different from ours, and adapt to his body language. But more importantly, I wanted to do something that even I never thought I would do.” I’ve always wanted to see myself in roles I never envisioned. I like to expand my boundaries. “
Lalit said the theme of the film was equally important in convincing him to say yes.
“Before taking on any project, I look at what the movie wants to say and what it wants to convey in general. This movie tells the truth, it is based on real events, and the facts are not distorted. Because of this, I have no regrets about making this movie.”“My character is very important to the film. Without him, the main story is incomplete and cannot be told. It is a very crucial part and I feel that getting such a challenging role is a big deal.”

How did it happen? And how serious and shocking that incident was.”The actor said each visit to the site of the attack still brings back unforgettable memories.“I’ve been to CST many times, but every time you visit that place, these thoughts come to your mind – how it happened and why it happened.” “Because of that, I have a lot of respect for our entire police force, our task forces and the system. The way they handle everything, solve crimes… the more I learn about them through this movie, the more I admire them.” “For Lalit Prabhakar, playing Ajmal Kasab was never about glorifying terrorists.
