Nissan Tekton launched in India: Price list, changes compared to Duster and more

Nissan India has finally launched the new Nissan Tekton SUV in the Indian market today. The new Tekton shares its platform with the new Renault Duster and will be manufactured at Renault’s Tamil Nadu facility. Interested buyers can book the new Tekton online or by visiting their nearest dealerships by paying Rs 21,000 and the deliveries will start from July 20. The SUV will compete with Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Volkswagen Taigun and other mid-size SUVs in the Indian market.

Tekton price variant

The new Nissan Tekton is offered in six variants – Visia, Visia plus, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna plus priced from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 18.59 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in two engine options – a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol with 100hp, 166Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. Another engine option is a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol that delivers 163PS, 280Nm, and comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT).In terms of design, the 2026 Nissan Tekton takes design inspiration from the Patrol, resulting in a more upright appearance than the Renault Duster. The front has a wide grille with two chrome slats, slim LED headlamps and full-width C-shaped LED DRLs. A thin red trim runs under the headlights, while the hood has pronounced creases and Tekton lettering. The front bumper has a two-tone finish, LED fog lights and a silver faux skid plate.

From the side, the Tekton retains the Duster’s basic profile, but stands out with newly designed 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, flared wheel arches and a silver front door insert. It uses conventional front door handles, while the rear door handles are integrated into the C-pillars. Moving on to the rear, unlike the Duster, the tailgate is finished in body color instead of a contrasting black panel. It also gets C-shaped LED taillights connected by a full-width light bar, a roof spoiler and an upright tailgate with Tekton lettering. The two-tone rear bumper includes a silver skid plate.Moving inside, the overall look is the same as the Duster, but features a dual-tone rose gold and burgundy dashboard. Features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver display, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, power tailgate, 6-way adjustable front seats and ventilation and more. Safety features include six airbags, level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, front and rear sensors, an electronic parking brake, and it also gets a 5-star safety rating from BNCAP.
