Nissan India is gearing up to launch the new Nissan Tekton SUV globally on July 9, 2026. And now the rear end of the SUV has been unveiled, revealing the rear profile of the Tekton. The Nissan Tekton has adopted a few design changes at the rear, despite sharing its underpinnings with the Renault Duster. It gets a different taillight design, a rear bumper with a silver insert and uniquely styled roof rails. However, the roof spoiler, rear windshield and rear wiper have been carried over from the Duster. The ‘Tekton’ lettering on the tailgate is also decorated in the same style as the Duster.From the front, the new Nissan Tekton SUV has a wide front grille with a red horizontal stripe running across it and an illuminated Nissan logo in the middle. The SUV also gets a full-width LED DRL signature linked to the headlamp units, which include L-shaped light elements. Other exterior features include a sculpted hood with prominent character lines, a center hood and Tekton badging.
At the rear, the SUV will have a roof spoiler, a protruding windshield, connected C-shaped taillights and a large bumper. The SUV is expected to be similar in dimensions to the new Renault Duster, which measures 4,345 mm in length, 1,815 mm in width, 1,703 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,657 mm.Tekton is expected to share its engine options with the new Duster. 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The second engine is a 1.3-liter, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol with 163 hp and 280 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed DCT or 6-speed manual. There’s also a larger 1.8-litre powerful 109bhp hybrid petrol engine paired with a 49bhp electric motor and 20bhp Hybrid Starter Generator (HSG), paired with a 1.4kWh (280V) battery.
