Kia confirms price hike in the range: Here's how big it is

Kia India has announced that it will hike prices across its entire model portfolio from July 1, 2026. The automaker said the revision would be up to 2 percent and was necessitated by rising input costs and higher operating costs. The upcoming hike will apply to all Kia models sold in India, including mass-market offerings such as the Sonet, Syros, Seltos, Carens and Carens Clavis, as well as premium models such as the Carnival MPV and EV6 and EV9 electric SUVs. The revision will also affect the Carens Clavis EV.While Kia hasn’t announced price changes model-wise, the increase will vary by vehicle and variant. Based on current prices, the revision could see an increase of up to around Rs 2.6 lakh on select models and variants. In an official statement, the company said it absorbed a significant portion of the internal cost escalation in an effort to reduce the impact on customers. The announcement makes Kia one of several manufacturers to revise prices in the face of rising production and operating costs. The company said that the decision was made after careful evaluation of the increase in input costs and overall expenses.Buyers planning to buy a Kia vehicle still have a short window to shop at current prices before the revised prices come into effect next month. The new pricing structure will be applicable across all dealerships across the country from July 1, 2026.Kia currently has a diverse portfolio in India that includes internal combustion engines, electrics and imported models.
