India’s white-ball tour of Ireland begins tomorrow, Friday, June 26, with a two-match T20I series at Belfast Civil Service Cricket Club (Stormont). This match marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Indian team as Shreyas Iyer will lead the team in T20Is for the first time. The series has generated huge interest among fans, especially as 15-year-old batting star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is expected to make his international debut. The youngster impressed in IPL 2026 and has now been called up to the national team for the first time.

Why does the game start earlier than usual?

Unlike India’s usual T20I start time (7:00 PM IST), both matches of the Ireland series will start at 6:00 PM IST (1:30 PM local time). Cricket Ireland has decided to move the match start time forward by an hour to reduce scheduling conflicts for India’s crucial Women’s T20 World Cup match against Australia on June 28. While some overlap is still unavoidable, the revised schedule will allow fans to watch the majority of both games.
