The actor was more open about it recently while promoting his upcoming film Welcome to the Jungle and revealed that no one’s opinion is more important to him than Twinkle’s. Akshay was asked who was the most honest critic of his work. He pointed to his wife without hesitation, describing her comments as brutally candid.“She was cruel. Brutal means cruelty is nothing. She could kill me at any time. Akshay said with a smile while talking to Bombay Times Lounge. The actor then shared a rare moment that made him particularly happy. While dubbing for another project, he received an unexpected message from Twinkle appreciating the trailer of his upcoming film.“I told Mr. Priyadarshan, ‘I’m happy today.’ He asked me why, and I said, ‘My wife sent me a message saying she liked the trailer,'” Akshay shared.Akshay said compliments from his wife Twinkle are rare, which is why this message means a lot to him. “These messages don’t come around very often,” Akshay admits. “I’ve done a lot of movies that when she watches them, she’s like, ‘What is this?'”The candid confession drew laughter from the audience, with Akshay further explaining that Twinkle would never sugarcoat his opinions, no matter how successful the film ends up being.
