Moving away from that sense of security can lead to questions from family, concerns from friends, and warnings of an uncertain future.But the latest recruiting data suggests some people who make the leap may be spotting the switch before others.BizzBuzz News quoted a report from Indeed as saying that the fastest-growing recruitment industry in India is no longer the traditional technical positions that have dominated the job market for many years. Instead, employers are increasingly looking for workers in health, physical education, personal care and home health services.Job postings in the beauty and wellness industry have increased by more than 36% in the past three months. Recruiting for sports-related positions increased by more than 41%, making it one of the fastest-growing categories. Personal care and home health care positions increased by more than 34%, while cleaning and sanitation positions increased by more than 27%.At the same time, demand for some technical positions has weakened. Software development jobs fell by 12.3%, IT infrastructure and support jobs fell by 10.2%, and data and analytics jobs fell by 6.7%.The numbers do not suggest that India’s IT industry is in trouble. Callam Pickering, senior economist for Asia Pacific at Indeed, said overall demand from Indian employers remains healthy. What seems to be changing is where the strongest growth is.The rise of organized businesses in fitness, beauty, home health and personal services is creating more formal employment opportunities. Gym chains, wellness brands, home care platforms and beauty services are expanding and hiring at a massive scale, transforming an industry once dominated by informal work into structured career options.According to the report, overall job vacancy postings in India increased by 3.4% year-on-year in May. Jobs are still being created. However, they are increasingly appearing in areas that many once ignored.That’s why software engineers who quit programming to pursue a career in health may no longer look like outsiders. The market is starting to move in the same direction.
