While he admitted the decision was difficult, given his origins and childhood, he said he could not leave the home he had built so far away in Australia. Here’s a breakdown of Kris Fade’s decision to turn down his dream job in Australia.
Kris Fade reveals why he turned down job in Australia
Chen Fei wrote a long article explaining his thoughts on the dream job of KIIS FM and expressing the huge changes that life has brought to him. However, he said he would “never say never” permanently return to Australian soil. He told The Kris Fade Show on Monday morning: “It’s great to be able to announce this publicly. I’ve called Dubai home for 19 years and I can’t just pack up and leave. I’ve committed to things that will start in a few months, so that’s one of the reasons.”
Kris Fade talks family and missing Australia
Fade went on to say that he loves everything he has created with the company, station, family and team in Dubai. “My family is here too; my wife, my kids, my two daughters will be finishing high school in the next two years. I think it’s not going to be easy for them to pack up and go home now,” he told Nine. Although he often misses life in Australia, he believes he made the right choice. Speaking about his career, the 46-year-old presenter hinted at producing one of the greatest hits ever, which will be known to the public in 12 months’ time.
