He explains that a stable workflow allows him to turn down commercially rewarding projects if he doesn’t feel comfortable with their subject matter or ideological message.“I’m one of the luckiest actors, getting roles from all over the country and from different parts of the world. And mainstream genre roles,” he said. Adil will next star in Netflix’s war drama Safed Sagar, which he described as one of the streaming platform’s most expensive Indian productions. Even so, he says he’s built a life that allows him to remain financially secure without feeling pressured to accept every acting offer.The actor has previously criticized Kabir Singh, calling him misogynistic and accusing him of glorifying violence. He revealed that he stopped watching the film after about 20 minutes and said he would be embarrassed if his wife saw it. He also said that he would reject Animal even if he was offered an offer of Rs 100 crore or Rs 200 crore. In response, Sandeep Reddy Vanga accused Adil of putting money before passion and felt that Kabir Singh’s contribution to the actor’s career was greater than his independent films.Adil later hit back, highlighting his collaborations with internationally renowned filmmakers such as Mira Nair and Ang Lee.
