Maruti Suzuki is all set to unveil the updated Brezza on July 24, and ahead of its official unveiling, the compact SUV has been spotted without camouflage in its base LXI guise. The latest spy shots provide the first detailed look at the base version. At the front, the 2026 Brezza gets a redesigned grille with a more closed look, paired with a revised front bumper. Despite being the base LXI variant, the spotted model appears to be fitted with projector headlamps. Like most entry-level trims, it still uses black steel wheels instead of alloy wheels.Although the interior of the LXI variant has not been fully seen, the updated Brezza is expected to get a few additions to the lineup. Higher models are likely to get a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, connected car features and a HUD. The steering wheel is expected to remain unchanged and continue with integrated controls.Under the hood, the facelifted Brezza is expected to continue with the familiar 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 101 PS and 137 Nm of torque. However, Maruti Suzuki might replace the existing five-speed manual transmission with a new six-speed manual transmission. Additionally, select variants are also expected to get a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, although the company has yet to officially confirm the full powertrain options.Maruti Suzuki has already started taking bookings for the SUV at a token amount of Rs 11,000. Post launch, the facelifted Brezza will continue to compete with rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO and more.
