However, after going through a hybrid season and changing team strategies, both teams have agreed to a straightforward player swap ahead of the IPL 2027 season. During his first spell with Delhi Capitals from 2016 to 2024, Pant accumulated 3,284 runs in nine seasons, making him the franchise’s all-time leading run-scorer and one of its most popular players. In his two years with Lucknow Supergiants, Pant scored 581 runs in his two seasons (2025-2026). As captain, Rishabh Pant led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to 10 wins and 18 losses in 28 games, with a winning rate of 35.71%.
