“Durandhar” and “Durandhar: Revenge” changed the perception of Hindi cinema. So much so that a large portion of the audience now compares every film to this as well Adityadar director, for setting a new benchmark. Senior film producer Sanjay Gupta Praising director Aditya Dhar for staying true to his vision while making “Dhurandhar”, he revealed that the filmmaker refused to take shortcuts despite facing obstacles over the years. Gupta shared his admiration on X (formerly Twitter), recounting a conversation with a crew member who witnessed Dahl’s relentless commitment throughout the making of the film.According to Sanjay, a member of the “Dhurandhar” team talked about how Aditya remained steadfast at every stage of the project, from pre-production to post-production. Sharing the anecdote, he wrote, “Yesterday I met a staff member from Durandal who sees Aditya Dar fighting for his vision every day. There are no shortcuts. It’s a battle of faith versus convenience. That’s the difference. Filmmaking is not a shoot-and-shoot game. “Earlier, when Sanjay appeared on ‘InControversial Podcast’, he opened up about the hard work he put in to achieve ‘Dhurandhar’. He revealed that Aditya spent nearly four years working on the ambitious project before it finally took off.“It’s clear that Aditya Dar was inspired by filmmakers from the ’80s and ’90s. I can clearly see those influences and that world-building style. There’s no doubt that Aditya Dar is a very smart filmmaker. But having said that, he spent four years trying to put this project together. Whether your last film was successful or not, that’s the difficulty,” he said.“Dhurandhar” is directed by Aditya Dal and stars in Ranveer Singh, Sanjay DuttR. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Laksh Bedi Play a key role. According to Sacnilk, the action film was a huge commercial success, raking in approximately Rs 1,306 crore at the global box office.
