Bollywood actor Salman Khan is reportedly in more legal trouble.According to latest reports, the Goa bench of the Bombay High Court issued a notice to the actor after taking notice of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed against a property in Candolim, Goa, for “violation of Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) norms”.

A report by Dainik Gomantak states that the Calangute Constituency Forum filed a PIL challenging the construction of a plot in Candolim, which is said to be within the 100-meter “prohibited development zone” under CRZ-III regulations.The petition alleges that Salman and a company linked to him violated environmental laws by building residential villas in an “ecologically sensitive area”. According to reports, Classic City Investments Private Limited built residential villas and swimming pools about 55 meters away from the high tide line of the Sinquerim River, allegedly in violation of CRZ regulations. The plea further claimed that Salman Khan was the managing partner of the firm.The PIL also challenged the occupation certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat on April 30, 2025. It claimed construction on the site exceeded the approved building plans and that procedural “irregularities” occurred during the issuance of the certificate.The petition names several respondents, including the Goa government, Goa Coastal Zone Authority, Candolim Gram Panchayat, Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change and many other agencies.
The High Court issued a notice
The High Court has reportedly issued notices to all the accused seeking their responses to the charges. Once a reply is received, the matter will be processed further.This update comes after the High Court earlier expressed concerns over alleged “illegal construction” along Goa’s coastline. At the time, the court warned that officials could be held personally liable if complaints about CRZ violations were not acted upon promptly.
