Ram Charan Already praised Ranveer Singhof the Dhurandhar series, describing it as an “amazing, marvelous, extraordinary” cinematic experience and attributed its huge success to the way it was received by audiences across India.The actor spoke about the blockbuster series at the Republic Summit and revealed that he recently watched Durandha on an OTT platform.

‘It brings the country together’

Sharing his thoughts about the film, Ram Charan said, “It’s an amazing, wonderful, extraordinary film. Everything about it fell into place in the right way, at the right pace.”He went on to stress the importance of films that promote national unity.“Should there be more films like this? Of course. National integrity, like India First, is very important in our upcoming films. It brings the country together,” he added.

Box office numbers reflect audience reception

Ram Charan also commented on the phenomenal box office performance of the series, saying that these series reflect the audience’s love for the films.“It has become the highest-grossing film at the box office, earning over Rs 1,800 crore. Why is this happening? The box office numbers are nothing but the number of people who accept it, and the footfall in theaters is what matters,” he said.The actor said that audience support is the biggest criterion for measuring the success of a film.“If the people of India own it and want this to happen, why not? It’s good for our country,” he added.

Durandal breaks record

“Durandhar”, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, was released in December 2025 and has grossed over Rs 1,300 crore at the global box office.The sequel “Durandhar: Revenge” was released in March this year and grossed over Rs 1,800 crore at the global box office. The film became the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, behind only Dangal.Both movies are currently available to watch on Netflix and JioHotstar.
