‘The Odyssey’ box office revenue on day six

According to preliminary box office estimates, “The Odyssey” earned a net revenue of Rs 650 crore from 8,268 screenings on its sixth day of release in India (Wednesday). The film’s net box office fell 22.2% from Tuesday’s 835 crore rupees.

‘The Odyssey’ does well at box office in India

“Odyssey” debuted on Friday with a net box office of Rs 1,740 crore, and the weekend box office grew significantly. By the end of its opening weekend, the film had accumulated a net revenue of approximately Rs 6,130 crore, driven by strong attendance in the premium IMAX format and positive word-of-mouth.Although the box office collection fell to around Rs 8 crore during the weekdays, the epic film managed to maintain a steady hold at the box office before witnessing a steeper decline on Wednesday.

‘Odyssey’ box office crosses Rs 100 crore

Taking into account the film’s collection on Wednesday, the film’s total net revenue in India is now estimated at Rs 8,415 crore, while its total India collection has reached around Rs 10,038 crore.Latest data shows that “Odyssey” is the 21st Hollywood film to cross the Rs 1 billion mark at the Indian box office. This major achievement marks the milestone for Christopher Nolan and Matt Damon’s second film in the country. The two had previously collaborated on the blockbuster Oppenheimer (2023), which remains among the top 10 highest-grossing films in India with a total box office of Rs 128.46 crore.

English version continues to dominate

The film’s English original remains the largest contributor to its total revenue in India. Of the estimated net revenue of Rs 8,415 crore so far, the English version has accounted for about Rs 6,655 crore, underscoring the strong demand for Nolan’s original films.Meanwhile, the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions have grossed less than Rs 20 crore, adding to the film’s total nationwide box office.
