Nissan has released fuel efficiency figures for the all-new Tekton SUV ahead of customer deliveries, which are set to begin on July 20. The mid-size SUV, priced between Rs 10.49 lakh and Rs 18.59 lakh, ex-showroom, is available with two turbo-petrol engine combinations and three powertrains.The most efficient version of the Tekton is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, which delivers a mileage of 19.41 kmpl. Buyers opting for the more powerful 1.3-litre turbo-petrol will achieve a fuel economy of 18.5 kmpl with the 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the same engine mated to the 6-speed manual returns 17.8 kmpl.Under the hood, the Tekton shares its engine options with the Renault Duster. The entry-level 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine produces 100 PS and 166 Nm of torque and is currently only offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox.For those looking for more performance, Nissan also offers a 1.3-liter, three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine that develops 163 hp and 280 Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.The Tekton was recently launched in India with starting prices starting at Rs 10.49 lakh, ex-showroom. In the Indian market, the Nissan Tekton enters one of the most competitive SUV segments in the country.
