The supplementary examination comes in the wake of the declaration of the Kerala DHSE Plus 2 annual examination results 2026, which were announced in May after the board examinations held from March 6 to March 28.This year, the state’s overall pass percentage was 77.97% and out of 3,72,423 students, 2,90,398 qualified for higher education.Girls again outperformed boys by a wide margin. The passing rate of girls was 86.69%, while the passing rate of boys was 68.41%.
Vocational high school flow
In addition to general examinations, the state also holds high school vocational examinations. A total of 26,829 first-year students and 26,826 second-year general students are registered.The examinations are conducted at 389 centers and answer sheets are assessed at 8 assessment camps with nearly 3,700 teachers responsible for the examinations. Valuation of the occupational category begins on April 6, 2026.
Looking back on past years
Kerala’s consistent performance in higher secondary examinations has remained stable over the past three years.The overall pass rate for 2025 is 77.81%. The science category performed the best with 83.25%, while the commerce and humanities categories scored 74.21% and 69.16% respectively.In 2024, a total of 3,74,755 students registered for the exam, out of which 2,94,888 passed. Therefore, the overall pass rate is 78.69%. Despite a drop from 82.95% in the previous year, Kerala still performed well among other school education boards in the country.Now, the declaration of SAY results will play a crucial role in shaping the future of candidates aspiring to undergraduate studies in the ongoing admission process.
