New Delhi: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has dismissed as “false, baseless and malicious” a social media post alleging that records of its members and students, including examination data, were compromised. The institute said its database had not been compromised and urged stakeholders not to rely on unverified information circulating online.In an official statement, ICAI said these claims have caused concern among students, members and other stakeholders. It clarified that no records breach had occurred “whether alleged or otherwise” and reiterated its commitment to protecting agency data.ICAI urges stakeholders to rely on official communicationsThe institute advises students, members and other stakeholders not to believe alleged false and malicious propaganda on social media platforms. It requested stakeholders to refer only to official communications issued by ICAI for authentic information and updates.
