Jailed Kannada superstar Darshan Thoogudeepa’s wife Vijayalakshmi Darshan has issued a detailed statement refuting rumors on social media that their son Vineesh was hospitalized after a major road accident in Bengaluru. Clarifying on the incident involving a Ford Endeavor in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Vijayalakshmi confirmed that Vineesh was completely safe and was not driving but only stepped out to check a two-wheeler after a minor road accident. With the family already under intense public scrutiny, Bengaluru police also stepped in to confirm that no formal case or complaint has been registered over the minor road accident.
Minor road incident sparks rumors
The speculation reportedly started after a minor collision involving Vineesh’s Ford Endeavor in Bengaluru. The vehicle was said to have been involved in a minor road accident with a two-wheeler. As videos and statements related to the incident spread online, confusion grew over Vineesh’s role in the accident.
Vijayalakshmi Darshan shares detailed statement
Darshan’s wife Vijayalakshmi Darshan issued a detailed statement, TOI City reported. She clarified in the statement that Vinesh was not injured and was not driving the vehicle at the time of the accident.She said: “We would like to make it clear that the news circulating in some media that Vinesh suffered an accident and was hospitalized is completely false. Vinish is absolutely safe and in good condition. He was not driving the vehicle; normally, our driver is behind the wheel.” Unfortunately, a minor road accident occurred, which is not uncommon in Bangalore traffic. The person involved admitted it was their mistake and apologized. Vinesh simply got out of the vehicle to ensure the safety of those on the bike. Unfortunately, these few moments were taken out of context and presented in a completely misleading way. “Darshan’s wife added: “We are already going through a difficult time as a family and the spread of this unsubstantiated and sensational news only adds to our pain and anxiety. We sincerely request everyone, especially the media, to verify the facts before publishing or disseminating information that may cause unnecessary pain to individuals and their families. We also ask everyone not to believe or forward these false reports.“
Police confirmed that no case has been registered yet
