The trailer was revealed during a panel discussion in Hall H of the show, which included Hunter Shafer, Michelle Yeohand the creative team. The story of “Blade Runner 2099” is set 50 years after the previous work in the series. It tells the story of a fugitive (inhumane) in future Los Angeles who puts aside her past and acquires a new identity: Blade Runner. Cora is forced to team up with the clone Alvin to track down the fugitives who are hiding the truth that will destroy the fragile city.“The replicants, they keep taking everything,” Schaeffer says in the trailer, before adding, “How long until we have nothing? Until we have nothing?” For those unfamiliar, replicants are synthetic humans who love to destroy, and Blade Runners are the cops who hunt them down and kill them.
