The trailer has been screened exclusively to select members of the media and film industry so far, with a public release expected on July 24.Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Svieita. (Sumali), Anupam Kher plays Jatayu, Kajal Agarwal Starring as Queen Mandari, Faisal Malik plays Kumbakarna, Mukesh Tiwari plays Agastya Munni and Rakul Preet Singh plays Surpanakkar.The film, with music by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman, is ambitious in scope and is positioned as one of the biggest film adaptations of an Indian epic.
