Danush Not only is he making headlines for his upcoming movie but also for rumors about a possible entry into politics. The actor is currently busy with a beefed-up lineup that includes Mari Selvarajand a biopic based on Ilaiyaraaja and APJ Abdul Kalam. Amid these announcements, a picture of a fan club flag featuring Dhanush went viral on social media, sparking speculations that the actor was gearing up for a political campaign.
Subramaniam Shiva Rejecting claims for new political flag
Rumors intensified after the slogan “Ennampol Than Vaazhkai” was printed on the flag, with many claiming it was a newly launched political symbol. However, director and fan club leader Subramaniam Siva strongly denied the reports at a recent event of the film. “This is not a newly created flag. Our fan club members have been using this flag at weddings, ear piercing ceremonies, movie releases and other celebrations for nearly 15 years,” he said, according to Nakkheeran. He added, “Some fans redesigned it to a smaller size to fit the car during fan club meetings this year. People mistakenly believed it was a new flag and linked it to Dhanush’s political involvement.” His clarification effectively ended the speculation surrounding the viral image.
Kasturi Raja Responding to questions about Dhanush’s entry into politics
Dhanush’s father, film producer Kasthuri Raja, was also asked about the actor’s political future at a recent public event. He had earlier said that members of his family, including his son and grandson, might one day enter politics. When Dhanush was asked specifically, he chose not to make any statement. “As I said before, this question should be asked of Dhanush himself,” Kasturi Raja said, avoiding further speculation. His cautious response was seen as a refusal to confirm any political plans.
