The GOAT connection between Vijay and Dhoni
Vijay and Dhoni also share an interesting connection in films. In Vijay’s 2024 blockbuster The Greatest Goat of All Time (GOAT), directed by Venkat Prabhu, archived footage of IPL featuring MS Dhoni appears in one of the sequences. The film also features other cricketers like Ravindra Jadeja and Ruturaj Gaikwad.Even though Dhoni did not film a new cameo for the film, the sequence affected the film’s climax. Many fans even joked on social media that Vijay “saved” Dhoni in true Goat style as the climax revolved around the actor knocking out the villain who planted a bomb at the stadium where Dhoni was playing.
