New Delhi: Cricket seems to be run by the Sooryavanshi family. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made headlines with his century in a practice match a few days ago and his younger brother Ashirvad once again impressed with the bat, knocking out a brilliant 168 off just 119 balls in another dominant performance. The 10-year-old, who started playing cricket just six months ago, played a practice match for Rishav XI and lit up the match with an attacking knock of 19 fours and six sixes. He has scored runs at a strike rate of 141.18 and continues to display a fearless attitude which has already earned him the attention of the local cricket fraternity. Not long ago, he announced his latest century with a knock of 103 off 87 balls in his first match at Tajpur Cricket Academy. The innings included 20 boundaries and six boundaries, highlighting his natural batting ability. The young man’s meteoric rise has not gone unnoticed. Vaibhav, who is currently playing in the T20I series with Team India in Ireland, shared an Instagram story to celebrate his younger brother’s latest achievement.

Ashwad’s story is particularly compelling because he only recently started playing cricket. Although he has been officially training for less than a year, he has already achieved many high scores. While comparisons with Vaibhav are inevitable, the two brothers have different styles. Vaibhav is a left-handed batsman who can also spin the ball, while Ahirvad bats right-handed and bats at medium pace with his right arm. The youngster considers himself an all-rounder and is starting to carve out his own identity on the cricket field.
