England batsman Jordan Cox expresses frustration at lack of privacy Virat Kohlirevealed that the former India captain was secretly photographed during what was supposed to be a quiet meeting in London. Cox, who met his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammates and mentors before his first Test match against England at The Oval last month, said neither of them realized they were being photographed until images of the meeting emerged online hours later.According to Cox, the two enjoyed a peaceful meeting at a café where hundreds of people walked by without disturbing them. However, the privacy they thought they had was short-lived.

“People follow him without knowing him”

“What upset him was that people were following him without him knowing. Hundreds of people walked past us and no one stopped, no one did anything. But about two hours later he texted me and said, ‘Have you seen all these pictures?’ and I was like, ‘What the hell?'” Cox told the Guardian. The England batsman admitted that he felt sorry for Kohli and said the Indian superstar rarely got the chance to enjoy a normal life outside the cricket field.“It’s such a shame that so many people want a piece of his life. He just wants to be in the spotlight, have fun and live a normal life. Unfortunately, that’s not always possible,” he added.

“He always wanted to help others”

While Kohli is known for his fierce intensity on the field, Cox said he is a completely different person behind the scenes. The young batsman praised Kohli for the time he put in to help him during his time at Royal Challengers Bangalore, calling the India great one of the most selfless senior players he has ever come across.“The most special thing I found during the IPL was how much time he gave to me as a player and how much he gave back overall for someone who had achieved so much. Some people focus on their own game, but he was someone who always wanted to help others before helping himself. That’s very rare,” Cox concluded.

Virat to return for ODI series against England

After the ongoing T20I series, India will start a three-match ODI series against England on July 14 with Virat Kohli making his return to international cricket. However, India have one last chance to end a disappointing T20I campaign on a positive note before shifting focus to the ODI series. Shreyas Iyer’s side, trailing 0-3 in five consecutive games, will aim to avoid a series whitewash in the fifth and final T20I at Southampton.England, on the other hand, have a lot of games to play even though they have already sealed the series. Harry Brooke’s side are gunning for a 4-0 series win and could also surpass India to become the top-ranked T20I team in the ICC rankings if they win the final game.
