Toyota Hilux facelift teased: design, cabin update expected

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has released the first teaser of the upcoming Hilux facelift ahead of its India debut on July 28, 2026. While the short teaser doesn’t reveal the pickup fully, it does offer a glimpse of the redesigned front fascia.The teaser shows the new Hilux with a larger front grille surrounded by slimmer LED headlights. Replacing the traditional Toyota emblem is the ‘TOYOTA’ lettering across the grille. The new model is also expected to feature a redesigned front bumper with a skid plate, fresh design alloy wheels and updated taillights with C-shaped LED light elements.Inside, the cabin is likely to get a significant upgrade in terms of technology and perceived quality. The new Hilux is expected to feature two 12.3-inch displays, including a fully digital instrument panel and touchscreen infotainment system. Other expected additions include a new three-spoke steering wheel, an all-black interior theme, ventilated and electric front seats, wireless phone charging, connected car technology and a 360-degree camera. Toyota is also expected to retain physical controls for climate settings and off-road functions.Under the hood, the pickup is expected to continue with the familiar 2.8-liter diesel engine that produces around 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Transmission choices will likely include both a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic. Safety is expected to get a boost with a more comprehensive ADAS suite that could include features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and autonomous emergency braking. Standard safety equipment is also expected to include six airbags, electronic stability control and hill assist systems.
