Unlike their previous collaborations, Timothy and Selena will lend their voices to the new animated film from the studio behind global hits like Despicable Me and Super Mario Bros.

Chalamet will voice Joe, an “introverted rocket mechanic who lives a quiet life alone,” while Selena Gomez will voice Fran, a “talented astrobotanist who is developing the world’s first plant-fueled rocket,” according to an official announcement from Variety.

“When Joe and Fran get together to prepare for the first launch of this revolutionary rocket, sparks fly immediately, but neither is particularly good at romance. When three aliens – petite, unruly, and adorable – take refuge in Joe’s home, life becomes even more complicated. Dunk, Willy, and Sherm are on an interstellar escape, returning from an eager but they believe incompetent lawyer named Zandro.

Dunk, Willy and Hilm will be voiced by Rob Brydon, Diane Morgan and Jamie Demetriou. “Ted Lasso” star Brett Goldstein will play Officer Zandro. Other supporting cast members include Allison Janney and Lamorne Morris.Not Alone will be co-directed by Illumination mainstay and Despicable Me 2 co-director Eric Guillon, Claire Dodgson and Jonathan Del.The movie is expected to be released on April 16, 2027.
