During the second show of her month-long residency, the singer made a joke about the difference in her and the “Opalite” singer’s net worth when it came to whether she prefers performing live or in the studio. Commenting on the question and addressing the audience, Clarkson responded: “You ask, ‘Do you prefer performing live or do you prefer performing in the studio?’ I prefer both. They’re very different. But I kind of wanted to bring that vibe. When you go to a show now – and I wouldn’t say no to any gig, for obvious reasons, especially when you’re traveling and touring – typically you can’t take that many musicians with you, right? “However, she quickly added something that made everyone laugh. “Unless you’re Taylor Swift,” she mentioned with a smile on her face, making everyone laugh. She continued, “Congratulations, but when you’re not her, when you’re on a budget, you get cool stuff like this.”In other news, the acclaimed singer and “American Idol” winner will say goodbye to her beloved talk show after its seventh season ends at the end of August. She has admitted multiple times in the past that she chose to leave the show to focus more on her personal life and her children. The decision also came to light shortly after the untimely death of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. She confirmed the news in February this year. Although she is no longer a reality show host, the singer will continue to be active in the music industry and will continue to serve as one of the judges on The Voice.
