Variety India exclusively reports that the much-anticipated trailer will debut at a grand launch event on Saturday, July 18 at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The release of the trailer is expected to kick off the full-scale promotion of the film. The mega event will reportedly provide audiences with the widest opportunity yet to watch the ambitious film, which is said to have a budget of Rs 4,000 crore.

“Ramayana” actors expected to attend

Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, along with several members of the cast, have been confirmed to attend the launch event.Those confirmed to attend include Ranbir KapoorPlaying the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavihe analyzed Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha and Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra. Other key actors in attendance included YashSunny Deol who plays the role of Ravana and Hanuman are yet to be confirmed.The cast also includes Adinath Kothare, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha and Arun Govil in pivotal roles.

Ramayana trailer details

The release of the trailer is expected to give viewers a closer look at the film’s visual scale and main characters. According to reports, the first meeting between Ranbir’s Lord Rama and Sai’s Sita will also be seen in the trailer.However, fans waiting to watch the showdown between Ranbir’s Lord Rama and Yash’s Ravana will have to wait until 2027. In Ramayana Part 1, Yash and producer Namit revealed that Lord Rama and Demon Lord will not come face to face as the film will set up separate stories to take fans into their kingdoms before the massive battle in the sequel.

Ramayana release date

Ramayana: Part One, a two-part film based on the ancient Indian epic, is scheduled to be released in cinemas during Diwali 2026, while Ramayana: Part Two is scheduled to be released during Diwali 2027.
