Actors’ reactions after visiting the protest site
The ‘Singham’ actor later reached Jantar Mantar to support the protests led by the youth-led Cockroach Jantar Party (CJP). He shared a video of the protest site and wrote: “The youth of our country are #justasking.”During the march, thousands of Jantar Party supporters marched through Delhi demanding the resignation of the federal education minister. Later reports showed police blocked the march with barricades and clashes broke out when protesters tried to move forward. Some protesters also claimed they were injured in baton charges.After witnessing the incident, Prakash Raj shared another video and wrote, “Witnessed the brutality of the dictatorship on the youth of our country. The dreams and futures of countless students are in jeopardy as accusations of question paper leaks, examination system failures and lack of accountability continue to emerge. “
Call for accountability
Parangis also said the concerns raised by students and protesters should be addressed through dialogue rather than force. “Rather than respond to these concerns, the government has chosen to suppress peaceful democratic dissent,” he wrote.He further added: “With the future of the country at stake, it is the duty of the Union Education Minister and the BJP-led Union Government to respond with accountability and not force.”The ‘Thangalaan’ director also expressed his support to the people taking part in the protest march.
