Pooja Bhatt opens up about grandmother’s amputation and leg funeral
On Cyrus Broacha’s podcast, Pooja described her grandmother as “tough as nails.” She shared that her grandmother was diagnosed with diabetes later in life, which ultimately resulted in her leg being amputated. After the operation, her grandmother insisted on holding a funeral for the amputated leg, a strange ceremony in which the entire family had to attend.
Pooja Bhatt recalls her grandmother observing everyone’s expressions
The actress further said, “We had to go to St. Andrew’s Church when her legs were being buried. We were all like, ‘What is this? This is the last day of preparations.'” She was actually watching everyone and taking notes. It’s dark…completely dark humor. She watched everyone’s expressions to see how they were doing, who showed up and who didn’t. A lot of us looked at each other and thought, “What on earth are we doing here?” ‘”.
