New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the final correction window for NEET UG 2026 application fee refund bank details today (July 7, 2026). Candidates who are eligible for refund must verify or update their account information on the official NTA NEET portal before 11:50 pm IST.The extended window is provided to allow candidates to correct errors in their bank account details and ensure eligible refunds are processed. Candidates who fail to complete final submission or verification by the deadline may face refund delays or non-processing.Final verification process for refund requestCandidates must log in to the NTA NEET official portal and check the details including bank account number, bank name and IFSC code. The account provided must belong to the candidate, parent, or a joint account containing the candidate’s name.NTA advises candidates who have submitted their bank details earlier to verify the information again before the deadline. General category candidates will get Rs 1,700 while OBC-NCL and EWS candidates will get Rs 1,600. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD and transgender categories will get Rs 1,000. NRI candidates will get Rs 9,500.NTA has started processing direct bank transfers in a phased manner for candidates whose bank credentials have been successfully verified. Bank fees and GST charged during the original payment period will not be refunded.Refund portal update scheduleNTA opened the first refund portal window on May 22, 2026. The initial deadline for submitting bank details is May 27, 2026. The agency extended the timeline on June 22, 2026, and opened another dedicated refund portal phase on June 25, 2026, following a reexamination on June 21.The previously announced final deadline was June 30, 2026. The latest extension makes July 7, 2026 at 11:50 PM IST the last opportunity for corrections and updates.NEET UG 2026 Registration and Refund StatisticsThe number of applicants for NEET UG 2026 was 22,79,743, and as of May 3, 2026, the number of people who took the exam was 22,05,035, with an attendance rate of 96.92%. The number of female applicants was 13,32,928 and the number of male applicants was 9,46,815.The exams are conducted at 5,432 exam centers in 551 domestic cities and 14 international cities. According to NTA data, 8,29,510 candidates have successfully verified their bank details, while more than 13,75,000 candidates are still to be verified or corrected.
