Just two months after Meenakshi revealed that she had moved to Mumbai permanently to pursue an acting career again, she has bagged a role in the Prime Video series. “Nanavati vs Nanavati” marked the reunion with her “Hero” (1983) co-star Jackie, a film that was a breakout success early in her career.

According to a report in Mid-day, the eight-episode series directed by Vipul Shah is currently being shot at Bar Stock Exchange in Andheri West and has an impressive cast including Bhagyashree, Ram Kapoor and Anupriya Goenka. Meenakshi and Jackie, the popular couple of the 1980s, reuniting after four decades is one of the biggest talking points of the show. Their scenes are expected to tap into the nostalgia associated with the heroes while placing them in age-appropriate characters. Bhagyashree and Ram will play another couple. Since Ram is currently participating in another show, he will join the shoot later. The primaries are expected to be held in Powai.
