India Women 42.0 154/1 in overs

India women’s football team VS England women’s football live broadcast: The Indian women’s football team will be in complete control of the match on Day 3 of the historic one-off Test at Lord’s, taking 9 wickets to lead by 269 runs after a dominant performance in the opening two days. Harmanpreet Kaur’s side defeated England with both bat and ball and are now within striking distance of a memorable win at the home of cricket.

India defeated England by just 170 runs after posting 285 in the first innings to take a 115-run lead before extending their advantage to 269 runs on the second day. Smriti Mandhana remained unbeaten with 69 runs and Yastika Bhatia provided solid support with an unbeaten 39 runs as India reached 154 for 1 in the second innings.

India may push for declaration

India’s priority on day three is to build an unassailable lead before the announcement. Mandhana was well positioned and Yastika looked comfortable at the crease, providing the visitors with the ideal platform to accelerate in the morning session.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh and the lower middle order were still batting, allowing India to extend their lead to over 400 runs. A target of over 450 would leave England with little realistic chance of chasing and their focus would turn purely to survival.

Given the flattening of the pitch, India are expected to strike a balance between scoring runs quickly and ensuring they have enough time to beat England twice before the end of the Test.

Mandhana eyes another milestone knock

Smriti Mandhana took the lead again with a composed unbeaten half-century after scoring 83 in the first innings. The left-hander looked in complete control throughout the match and will be targeting a century on day three.

Her partnership with Yashtika Bhatia has already frustrated England’s bowlers, and another substantial stand could rule the hosts out of the tournament entirely.

Kranti Gaud becomes India’s new rhythm

If India’s batting laid the foundation, debutant Kranti Gaud delivered a decisive performance with the ball.

The young seamer took stunning figures of 5/37, dismantling England’s batting line-up and ensuring India had complete control of the Test. Her disciplined lines, off-the-ground movement and ability to bat with the new ball make her India’s biggest weapon heading into England’s second innings.

If India set an ambitious target, Gold will again be entrusted with providing an early breakthrough.

England looking for inspiration

England faced a tough battle after scoring just 170 in the first innings. Barring a batting half-century from Amy Jones, the hosts failed to forge a meaningful partnership against India’s relentless attack.

Their bowlers also struggled to make headway after removing Shafali Verma early in India’s second innings. Sophie Ecclestone, who picked up three wickets in the first innings, will once again take on the responsibility of leading England’s bowling attack and try to spark an unlikely collapse.

The hosts knew that if they allowed India’s lead to extend beyond 400 runs, their hopes of avoiding defeat would be completely dashed.

While Lord’s became more and more bat-friendly, signs of wear were starting to show. As the match enters the fourth innings, India’s experienced spin duo of Deepti Sharma and Snee Rana could prove to be the deciding factor.

With the surface expected to offer more turns and variable bounce later in the game, India’s bowlers will back themselves to exploit these conditions and pull off a memorable overseas Test win.

Day 3 Commitment Definition Session

The opening game of the third day may determine the direction of the game. If India bat aggressively and claim a formidable lead, England will face a huge challenge against India’s confident bowling attack on a worn home pitch.
