captain of zimbawi Sikandar Raza Believing in his team’s ability to take on India in the upcoming three-match T20I series, he said that despite India’s reputation, there is no difference between the two teams. The series begins on Thursday as India look to bounce back from disappointing T20I losses to Ireland and England.Rejecting suggestions that India will dominate, Raza said Zimbabwe has been playing consistent and exciting cricket in recent months.“Both countries will have equal chances in this series. But one thing I am very sure of is that because Zimbabwe has been playing very consistent and very entertaining cricket, I can definitely say that this series will be very interesting,” Raza told Star Sports.The experienced all-rounder pointed to Zimbabwe’s recent wins against Australia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as proof that his side can compete with top teams.He added, “In terms of wins and losses, both countries have an equal chance of winning the series.”Raza believes both teams are going through a rebuilding phase, which makes the game more competitive.“Yes, India is going through a transformation and to some extent you will see some transformation happening in Zimbabwe as well. I don’t think this is a one-sided series,” he said.India came into the match after losing 0-2 to Ireland in T20Is under new captain Shreyas Iyer and 0-4 to England while losing the ODI series 1-2 under Shubman Gill. The remaining two T20I matches will be played on July 25 and 26.
