Cher continues to plead for care of her son Ilya Blue Allman

According to “Rolling Stone”, Allman attended the court hearing via video call on June 25. Judge Jessica A. Uzcategui postponed the hearing until Sept. 1 after he asked to be represented in the case, but Judge Jessica A. Uzcategui refused. Allman is currently being held in a New Hampshire mental hospital.“In court findings, Mr. Allman stated that he had no intention of returning to California even after being discharged from a New Hampshire hospital,” the judge wrote in a statement, discussing whether she had jurisdiction to rule in the case. She added, “It is my understanding that he could be incarcerated in New Hampshire for up to a year and a half, and even then he would be returned to a prison facility in New Hampshire or a treatment facility in New Hampshire. So, in all of these circumstances, I don’t think Mr. Allman will be back in California for a very long time, if ever, and I challenge the jurisdiction of the court.”On the other hand, Cher’s legal counsel Justin Gold said Los Angeles County is the appropriate venue for the case. He added that “the priority given to Mr. Allman was made while he was incarcerated in a psychiatric hospital and he was incapacitated,” he claimed. “The only reason he’s in New Hampshire right now is because he can’t leave. And he’s saying, ‘Oh, I’m not going back to California,’ just to escape jurisdiction here, that’s all. He’s been here his whole life. “The judge has now given Gold until July 16 to first file a legal brief with the court on the matter.

This isn’t Cher’s first attempt to get her son under supervision

Back in 2023, the actress filed a petition seeking conservatorship over her then-son, who she believed was not fully capable of handling his finances. However, his mother dropped the petition after Allman announced that he would change and work on his health and well-being.
