In a candid conversation with Variety India, Boney was asked how he first worked with director Bapu on Woh 7 Din. The producers gave a fascinating and detailed description of the making of the film, revealing that it was not an easy journey by any means. He recalls: “After ‘Hum Paanch’, we developed a good relationship. I used to go to Chennai a lot because I wanted to do my next film with him. During the discussion, we came up with the idea of making a love story. Even after working on it for several months, I didn’t start writing the script. We put a lot of effort into it, but it didn’t really excite us. Later, Bapu received an offer to work in Telugu, a remake of the 1981 Tamil film “Andha 7 Naatkal” directed by the late K. Bhagyaraj. He invited me to accompany him to see some scrolls. There is still some work to be done. At that time, there was no intention to remake the film in Hindi. After watching the film, I told Bapu that he had to make it in Telugu, so he started making it. I can’t get this movie out of my mind. I wanted to buy the rights to the Hindi version but Bhagyaraj was not keen on giving it up as his ‘Ek Hi Bhool’ Jetendra And Rekha has just become popular, so he might be waiting for better prospects. But eventually, I convinced him to let me remake Andha 7 Naatkal in Hindi. “

When asked who he would cast if Woh 7 Din were remade today, Boney came up with some very interesting and exciting names.
