Indian all-rounder Axar Patel etched his name in the history books in the second T20I against England at Manchester’s Old Trafford, becoming the first Indian spinner to take 100 wickets in T20I cricket.The milestone was achieved by the precious wicket of England captain Harry Brooke, who threatened to take the game away from India in a thrilling innings.Brooke tried to sweep the delivery that drifted down the leg side, but wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan immediately appealed for a weak edge. India opted for DRS and UltraEdge confirmed that the ball had a glove on it and then put the ball safely into Kishan’s gloves, ending an entertaining performance by Brooke who had hit 39 off just 15 balls, which included 4 fours and 3 sixes. With this outing, Akha reached the milestone of 100 T20I wickets, becoming the first Indian spinner to achieve this feat in the format.
