Akshay Kumar Overjoyed by the huge success of Welcome to the Jungle. In a recent conversation, the star discussed the film’s box office performance, his nerves leading up to its release, and the biggest misconceptions about him even after three decades in the industry.

Akshay Kumar’s reaction to the film, which crossed the Rs 65-crore mark in its opening weekend, was brief and sharp. He told Hindustan Times, “Just two words: Jai Mahakar!”
The biggest misconception about Akshay Kumar
Talking about the misconceptions people still have about his decades-long career, Akshay said, “I have a secret machine at home that makes four films every year! But it’s all about time management and discipline. Another misconception is that since I have been working for over three decades, everything is easy for me now.” This is not the case. Every Friday still feels like exam results. Every movie still makes my heart flutter.“He added, “The day I’m no longer nervous or excited about new projects, I think that’s the day I should retire. So there’s no secret formula…just discipline, consistency, and still having that hunger for a new guy.”
Akshay Kumar says he still feels nervous ahead of release?
When asked if he still gets nervous before the release of the film and if production adds extra pressure, Akshay shared, “I do get nervous, but not to the point where I can’t eat or sleep. Give me a home-cooked meal and a pillow any day of the week and I’m happy. These days, I’m nervous enough for everyone else involved in the film, and I’ve been through the victory of being nervous enough.“
