RRB JE Recruitment 2026: this Railway Recruitment Board The Railway Board (RRB) under the Ministry of Railways has issued Centralized Recruitment Notification (CEN) No. 04/2026 for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Supervisor (DMS) and Chemical Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). The recruitment drive will fill 4,098 vacancies in different railway recruitment boards in the country.According to the notice, the online application process is expected to start on August 14, 2026, and the last date for submitting applications is September 13, 2026. The board said the current notification is indicative and a detailed notification with complete eligibility criteria, exam details and other instructions will be issued before the application window opens.Recruitment details and vacanciesThe technical posts being recruited include Junior Engineer (Civil Engineering), Junior Engineer (Electrical), Junior Engineer (Engineering), Junior Engineer (Design), Junior Engineer (Shop), Chemical Supervisor (Research), Chemical Metallurgical Assistant and other advertised technical posts. The total number of vacancies announced is 4,098.The selected candidates will be placed in Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission pay structure with an initial monthly salary of Rs 35,400. Appointments will be made across India.

Eligibility and Application TimelineCandidates applying for the notified posts must possess a degree in the relevant field. The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 33 years. The age will be calculated from January 1, 2027 and the reserved categories will be relaxed as per Government of India and RRB rules.The application fee for general, OBC and EWS candidates is Rs 500, while SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates have to pay Rs 250. Payment will be made through online mode.Selection Process and Application ProcedureThe selection process is expected to include computer-based test (CBT-I), computer-based test (CBT-II), document verification and physical examination.Candidates will be required to register with a valid email address and mobile number through the RRB official website, fill up the online application form, upload necessary documents, photos and signatures, pay the stipulated fees (if applicable) and submit the form before the deadline. Applicants are also advised to have educational certificates, caste and domicile certificates and other required documents ready before registration begins.
