In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter , the actor shared some major behind-the-scenes details from the set of “The Odyssey.” In the interview, he revealed that while most of the scenes and stunts were strenuous for the actors, some, including the Trojan Horse, were shot in the Moroccan desert. But he still insisted on completing the scene, even saying “no” in front of Christopher Nolan.The actor revealed that the scene specifically required the horse to be immersed in water. Bernthal was one of the actors whose neck had to be submerged in the water. The water on set was originally used for heating; but it was as cold as ice during the filming of the main scene, which obviously affected the actors. However, despite Nolan asking him to postpone the scene and get out of the water, he refused to back out. Instead, he said no to the famous director, shouting, “Chris, you can’t destroy me. You can’t destroy me.”The actor further opened up about giving his all on set, adding, “The world, especially right now, is full of ‘you don’t want to be embarrassed,’ ‘you don’t want to strike out,’ ‘you don’t want to get rejected a lot,’ ‘you don’t want to be rejected,’ and oh my God, I think that’s a mistake. This is the opposite of life. Be bold. Embarrassing myself terribly. Find the number. Look for those who reject you. “
