The makers of the film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults have released the first song from the film. Titled ‘Tabaahi’, the song gives the audience a glimpse of the much-awaited action film. The music video, a first-time collaboration between Yash and Kiara Advani, combines romance, stylish visuals and emotional intensity. Composer and singer Vishal Mishrawritten in Hindi by Raj Shekhar, the song has also been released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The visually rich song instantly became one of the most talked about music videos of the year.

The music video unfolds like a beautiful dark romantic canvas, establishing an intense and passionate love story between the protagonists Yash and Kira Advani. To build up the hype, the makers orchestrated an interesting social media exchange the day before, where the head of official “Toxic” asked Kiara, “What do you call forbidden love that only exists in stolen time?” She simply replied: “Tabaahi.”The four-minute, 26-second video sets a mature, philosophical tone from the start, opening with a quote from the 13th-century Persian poet Rumi: “Beyond the ideas of wrong and right behavior, there is a realm. I will see you there.”What follows is an incredibly immersive visual landscape crafted by director Jitu Mohandas. Forgoing a generic romantic setting in favor of a unique retro aesthetic, the film captures Ash and Kira’s intimate, rain-soaked embrace in the backseat of a vintage car, driving a convertible along coastal roads, navigating narrow cobbled alleys, and sharing stolen glances in a Ferris wheel cabin above a moody carnival.Yash, with his long flowing hair and bushy beard, looks very rugged in a dark leather jacket, an elegant contrast to Kiara’s classic European-style wardrobe.

Toxic: A Fairytale for Adults is directed by Jeetu Mohandas and features a stellar cast including Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi. Written by Jitu Mohandas and Yash, the film was shot in Kannada and English and then dubbed into various Indian languages. The pan-India action entertainer is scheduled to release in theaters across the globe on August 26, 2026.
