The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the third round cutoff list 2026 on its official website josaa.nic.in. Cutoffs are announced in the form of opening and closing rankings for different institutions, branches and categories.Candidates who participated in the counseling process can now check the third round cutoff to know their ranking for admission in this round.Cutoffs have been issued separately for different categories including open, Economically Weak (EWS), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).The third round cutoff includes admission rankings to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Government Funded Technology Institutions (GFTIs).

How to check JoSAA Round 3 Deadline 2026

Candidates can download the cutoff list by following the steps below:

  • Please visit JoSAA official website: josaa.nic.in.
  • Click the Electronic Services Tag.
  • Select the 2026 Opening and Closing Rankings link.
  • Select the organization, branch and seat category.
  • The Round 3 cutoff list will appear on the screen.
  • Download and save for future reference.

JoSAA Third Round Consultation Timetable

Candidates who have been allotted seats in the third round should complete the admission process as per the following timeline:

Online declaration, payment, document upload and reply July 6 to July 8, 2026
Last date to pay seat acceptance fee July 8, 2026
Last date to resolve fee payment issues and respond to inquiries July 9, 2026
Withdraw seat/exit option July 7 to July 8, 2026
Last date to respond to withdrawal inquiries July 9, 2026

What’s next for candidates?

After allotment of seats in Round 3, candidates must log in to the JoSAA counseling portal and respond within the specified period for the allotted seats.They can choose one of the following options:

  • freeze: Accept your assigned seat and do not attend further inquiries.
  • float: Accept the seat but still be eligible for higher priority selection in the next round.
  • slide: Accept the assigned college but seek better courses within the same college in future rounds.

Candidates who decide to accept the allocated seat must also pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF). The fee for candidates belonging to the Open and Other Backward Categories (OBC) categories is Rs 30,000, while those belonging to the reserved category have to pay Rs 15,000.Candidates are advised to complete all admission formalities within the stipulated time to avoid cancellation of their allotted seats.
