A day before joining the protests in Mumbai, Imran shared a strongly worded post on Instagram in response to reports of police action against students protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. He wrote in the post: “I am a little broken inside today. Watching the police gassing student protesters…how can I understand this? These students who study hard are being failed by the system. These people demand to be heard and are met with silence.” These citizens who stood up to say what was important to them…were beaten and denied by those in power. “He further questioned the treatment of protesters, writing: “Aren’t these people the children of Mother India?
