Meanwhile, Randeep Hooda won the Best Newcomer Director award for “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar”. Sanjay received acting honors for his role as a senior photographer in “Bhakshak”. Randeep is recognized for directing Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, in which he also played the lead and served as co-writer.

Sanjay Mishra talks about winning National Award

After the winners were announced, Sanjay Mishra thanked the National Award jury for the recognition. He also recalled deeply personal memories associated with the announcement. The actor said hearing the news through the Press Information Bureau reminded him of his late father, who used to work there. “Today, the news of the National Award also came from the Press Information Bureau,” he said, according to The Hindu. Sanjay also looked back on his thirty-year film journey and said that this honor belongs to everyone who has contributed to his career over the years, including filmmakers, screenwriters, technicians, actors and audiences.Mishra added: “For over three decades, I have tried to be honest with every character I encountered. This honor belongs both to the directors, producers, writers, technicians and fellow actors I have had the pleasure to work with, and to the audiences who have embraced my work with so much love over the years. Randeep Hooda calls National Award a personal victory

For Randeep Hooda, the National Award marks a memorable achievement for the filmmaker. “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar” is his first directorial venture. While directing the film, he also played Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and contributed to the script. Sharing his reaction, Randeep said that this project required more from him than any previous job. The film also won the honor of Best Feature Film, becoming one of the biggest winners at this awards ceremony.
