Earlier this year, reports emerged that Aamir Khan had teamed up with first-time director Rahul Mody for a film inspired by the life of the controversial start-up entrepreneur, reports Bollywood Hungama. Shraddha Kapoor is also said to be playing the female lead and the production of the film is expected to begin in March 2027 after Aamir completed the period drama with Ashutosh Gowarikar.However, recent developments suggest that the collaboration ended before filming began.Reports claim that Aamir is fascinated by the world of start-ups and is eager to enter the field through Ashnear Grover’s biopic. He took the script and did it to the best of his ability. But eventually, he had creative differences with Rahul Modi, which led to the two parting ways.
Rahul Mody and Shraddha Kapoor continue the project
Although Aamir has exited the film, the project itself remains dynamic. Rahul Modi and Shraddha Kapoor are reportedly committed to giving the biopic a go and have now started looking for a young actor to play the role of Ashnil Grover.The report adds: “The real-life couple are now looking to recast the film and find a relatively young name to play the role of Ashnil Grover. Conversations are currently underway with two to three top names and the casting is expected to be finalized soon.”
Shraddha Kapoor produces and stars
Apart from playing a pivotal role on screen, Shraddha Kapoor will also be supporting the film as a producer in association with a leading studio. She is expected to essay the role of Ashnil Grover’s wife, making the project a great addition to her repertoire as an actor and producer.
